The stunning Whiterocks beach is a striking landmark on the Causeway Coastal Route with its magnificent chalk cliffs and fine, golden sand. In this piece I wanted to convey Ireland's ever changing weather by painting a dark, stormy sky contrasting with dramatic sunlight hitting the sand dunes. The addition of two figures walking against the blustery wind add further interest to the foreground and remind me of my many enjoyable walks on this beautiful beach.
