This is one of my more unusual and atmospheric paintings and although still my favourite subject, a seascape, it doesn't depict a specific place but instead reflects a peaceful mood full of anticipation. The dramatic and sweeping cloud formation is the dominant feature while the deep red sails create a striking focal point and a sense of quiet resilience.
