This is a print of my original painting “Tranquility, Portstewart’.
It features the iconic line of wooden posts at the beautiful Portstewart Strand on the Causeway coast in Northern Ireland. I have tried to capture the gentle incoming waves as they break onto the shore, creating pools of water in the sand which reflect the sky and wooden posts. The famous Mussenden Temple can also be seen in the distance, bathed in evening sunlight. I have used a palette of warm colours to reflect the beautiful, glowing light as the sun starts to set in the evening, creating a peaceful and tranquil scene.
